5 reasons why the all-new Nissan Almera redefines practicality

Published May 10, 2022 8:00 pm

There’s this notion that a practical car is devoid of niceties. Conversely, there’s also the thought that stylish cars aren’t practical. The argument always boils down to form over function or vice-versa, which always leads to this question: Can we have both?

Nissan answers this with a resounding yes and it resonates clearly with the all-new Nissan Almera. There’s no doubt that it ticks all the boxes in the style department, while being generous practicality. What’s more, the all-new Almera goes beyond the spec sheet for a better driving experience.

Stylish functionality

The all-new Almera might have an eye-catcher design, but function complements it at every step. LED lights fit the flashy exterior, along with taillights, and power folding side mirrors. The N-Sport trim takes this further by having LED fog lights and a dark chrome signature grille for a dash of handsome.

Inside, an eight-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Push Start Button, a single-zone climate control, and a seven-inch display wows for both driver and passenger. Three USB ports are also ready in the cabin, making road trips more conducive to gadgets. Space is also plenty for all occupants with the wide legroom as the star, topped off with the cool air conditioning that Nissan is known for.

The Almera’s trunk can take up to 474 liters of cargo on its own. This can be increased with the N-Sport variant since it has a 60-40 split folding backseat, allowing you to store long things without a hitch.

Exceptional efficiency

Under the hood is a one-liter turbocharged engine making 100 PS and 152 Nm of pull, paired to Nissan’s XTRONIC CVT. Basically, it has all the power and pull for everyday driving and a bit more for some overtaking and steep inclines. The turbocharged engine makes this possible, while also being frugal in gas consumption. This results in exceptional fuel efficiency for the all-new Almera that’s rated at 23.3km/l.

Convenient driving features with Nissan Intelligent Mobility

What sets the all-new Nissan Almera apart from its competition is the availability of Nissan Intelligent Mobility across most of its variants. You don’t have to go for the top-of-the-line N-Sport just to enjoy a safer driving experience with this sedan.

All trims get Hill Start Assist while the N-Sport and VE trims have the Intelligent Around View Monitor. What it does is give you a 360-view of your surroundings, which is very useful in going through tight city streets and parking in small spaces. It even detects movements from all corners, alerting you with visual and audible signals.

Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Intelligent Emergency Braking also made their way towards the N-Sport and VE trims. The former will alert you if there’s a chance you’ll hit the car in front, while the latter automatically applies brakes in case your pedal pressure is not enough or you’re a bit late in stepping on the brakes.

Exclusive to the N-Sport line are Blind Spot Warning, which will make driving lane changing easier, while the rear cross traffic alert makes reversing out of parking spots safer. The N-Sport also enjoys six airbags.

Standard safety features include ABS with EBD and brake assist, vehicle dynamic control, ISOFIX tethers, and immobilizer.

Easier ownership

Nissan has also extended the warranty for the all-new Almera N-Sport and VE trims. Instead of the usual three years or 100,000 kms., you are now covered for five years or 150,000 kms., whichever comes first. This means you can drive with more peace of mind knowing that unexpected repairs would be covered. The entire coverage of the warranty is only valid if you follow the required PMS schedule and do not do any modifications on the vehicle during the five-year run.

Ownership of the all-new Almera is very easy, as it now only requires Preventive Maintenance Schedule twice a year, or every six months. This is half of the required PMS schedule from other brands that make you go to the dealership four times a year. With the all-new Nissan Almera, you’ll have less trips to the dealership and more time to spend with your family and other activities.

More attainable terms

The all-new Nissan Almera is priced at P728,000 for the base model EL trim, P938,000 for the VE MT, P998,000 for the VE CVT, and P1,098,000 for the VL N-Sport. All models enjoy the frugal one-liter turbocharged engine.

From the specs and fuel efficiency to the worry-free ownership, the all-new Nissan Almera changes what you can expect from a sedan in its segment – and it still gets better. If you’re hooked on getting one, now’s the time to get the Nissan Almera. You can save up to P80,000 for the VE CVT with an all-in low downpayment of up to P38,000 through Nissan Finance. Contact a Nissan dealership nearest you and see for yourself how the all-new Nissan Almera redefines practicality.
