Hello, Master Chief.

The first teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action Halo series has officially been revealed.

The 10-episode series produced by Steven Spielberg is set to premiere exclusively on Paramount Plus in 2022.

The short teaser clip features Master Chief, the iconic Halo lead played by Pablo Schreiber (American Gods) in the series, and gives fans a first real glimpse at what the live-action portrayal of the famed first person shooter game will look like.

Master Chief has been described as “Earth’s most advanced warrior in the 26th century and the only hope of salvation for a civilization pushed to the brink of destruction by the Covenant, an unstoppable alliance of alien worlds committed to the destruction of humanity.”

The series will reportedly respect the Halo canon established in the military science fiction media franchise. Everything in the video games, the comics, novels, and the previously made series, will all be taken into account as the story for this series plays out.

The brief teaser shows Master Chief’s scarred back before he puts his characteristic green armor. When he puts on his helmet, we hear the voice of the game’s A.I. assistant, Cortana. Jen Taylor reprises her role as Cortana from various Halo games, which first launched in 2001, alongside Schreiber’s John-117.

Halo will also star Natascha McElhone (Designated Survivor) as super soldier program creator Dr. Halsey, Bokeem Woodbine (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Natasha Culzac (The Witcher), Yerin Ha (Reef Break), and Danny Sapani (Penny Dreadful), among others.

The developer of the current and future Halo video games including Halo Infinite is also assisting in the production of the series, so Halo franchise fans can rest assured knowing the studio has an input in the adaptation.

Check out the official teaser below.

The Halo TV series will stream exclusively on Paramount+ in 2022.
