OnlyFans changes its mind and won't ban sexually explicit content anymore
OnlyFans won't be pushing through with its ban on sexually explicit content after all.
In a tweet, the content subscription service said that it will reverse the policy change after hearing from creators on the platform.
"We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change," OnlyFans wrote on Twitter.
"OnlyFans stands for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators."

An interview with Financial Times, the company revealed that the now-scrapped guidelines were created so the London-based company could
"comply with the requests of its banking partners and payment providers."
OnlyFans received backlash over the planned policy change with critics saying it turned its back on creators who helped the platform grow. The Verge said some creators have already started to delete content deemed sexually explicit, moving to other services instead.
Brian Gross, a publicist representing several adult stars using OnlyFans, said that although the ban reversal is good news, this could change anytime.
"There's always a chance (OnlyFans) can implement the policy again," he said. "I think everyone has to keep one eye open."
OnlyFans was founded in 2016 and now has 130 million users. The platform grew during the pandemic, offering creators an alternative way to earn money by creating content for paying subscribers.
