'Pearl Next Door' poster thrills BL and GL fans alike
The IdeaFirst Company set social media ablaze last night by dropping a new image teaser for the much-awaited Gameboys spin-off series—Pearl Next Door.
The new YouTube series will grace the digital world in October, following the success of international hit Boys Love (BL) show Gameboys.
It will star Adrianna So, playing the titular role and Gameboys recurring character Pearl Gatdula.
Pearl was the ex-girlfriend-turned-best friend of Gavreel Alarcon (Kokoy De Santos) on Gameboys. Bubbly, honest, and open-minded, the character became a trusted confidante and support for the blossoming romance between the main characters Gavreel and Cairo Lazaro (Elijah Canlas).
Pearl's overall positive vibe easily launched her to be a fan favorite over time.
Perci Intalan, president of The IdeaFirst Company, posted on Twitter that just less than one hour after the Pearl Next Door teaser was released, it already gained 2,000 likes and 1,000 retweets.

It was in mid-June when the creative content firm announced Pearl’s spin-off series.
This stirred excitement in fans as the well-loved character Pearl is about to get in the spotlight, a time for her to shine.
