Internet domain registrar and web hosting company GoDaddy has revealed that its new reality series featuring Filipino entrepreneurs is set to premiere on AXN this November.

The new show, called Project GO, will see contestants go all out to overcome great challenges in order to make their dream business a reality. The mini-series will also have expert mentors who will help contestants hone their ingenuity and bring their creative ideas to life as they compete for P1 million in funding at the end of the show.

Host and chief mentor Maggie Wilson will share her personal insights and tips as the entrepreneur behind Acasa Manila. Joining Maggie on the show as mentors are successful, innovative leaders in their respective fields: Rappler’s Bea Cupin; the Tung brothers (Mikko, Macky and Mark Tung) of Ligo, and GoDaddy marketing director for Asia Tina Shieh.

Project GO will adapt a semi-digital show format aimed at enhancing the viewership experience. Wilson, along with its varied and highly skilled roster of mentors, will participate directly with the contestants. For cast members who cannot be physically on set, they will be connected via live stream to interact with those on set throughout the course of filming.

Lifestyle journalist Bea Cupin will also join Wilson and Shieh as one of the show’s mentors. With her vast experience working for a number of the country’s major publications, Cupin will teach contestants the nuances of understanding target audiences, communicating effectively, and identifying opportunities for their respective brands.

Also serving as mentors on the show are the Tung brothers, Mikko, Macky, and Mark, company executives and third-generation owners of Ligo. Mikko Tung is also the CEO of Odd Job Bob, a personalized home repair service, of which he and Macky are co-founders.

With their family’s 60-year legacy of business success and ability to understand the needs of rising generations of new consumers in the Millennial and Gen-Z demographics, as well as their experience as entrepreneurs in their own right, the Tung Brothers exhibit sound business acumen and foresight, making them strong and valuable mentors for Project GO contestants.

Completing the panel of mentors is GoDaddy marketing director for Asia, Tina Shieh. According to Shieh, “Project GO is all about giving people a fresh start, a chance to learn, and to enable Filipinos to connect with their entrepreneurial spirit. While the pandemic has altered the way we live and work, we want to help Filipinos tap into their creativity, feed their ambition, and offer guidance to bring them a step closer to their dreams.”

“GoDaddy admires the perseverance of Filipinos and is committed to helping them grow and thrive online. The truly successful entrepreneurs go all out to overcome challenges and make their ideas a reality,” Shieh added.

For his part, Derek Wong, KC Global Media Asia’s vice president and head for production and creative Services said: “With the times constantly changing, there is a call to be proactive and innovative in designing shows that can offer rich content and quality entertainment. With technology on the rise and consumers digesting content differently today, we saw this as an opportunity to collaborate with GoDaddy to bring such a program to the AXN viewers.”

Project Go premieres on AXN on Nov. 19.
