A hilarious Netflix parody website called Nestflix features a collection of fictional movies and television shows all in one platform.
Described as a streaming platform for “your favorite nested films and shows,” Nestflix’s extensive library contains over 400 fictional movies and fake shows mentioned within real movies and series. Each show comes complete with a poster image, brief synopsis, cast list, and lists their original appearance.
The site launched by web designer Lynn Fisher allows visitors to browse through different categories including drama, comedies, action movies, dramatic biopics, game shows with a bit of danger, and more.

Some of the selections from sticoms include The Rural Juror, starring Jenna Maroney (30 Rock), Mac & C.H.E.E.S.E. starring Joey Tribbiani (FRIENDS), Serial Ape-ist (and all the sequels) starring Penny Teller (The Big Bang Theory), and more.
There are some memorable fake movies too like Simple Jack, “the heart-wrenching story of Jack, a simple farmhand who can talk to animals,” as seen in 2008's Tropic Thunder, among others.
The "wiki dressed up as a streaming platform" does an amazing job visually as a catalogue for fictional films and tv shows inside real movies and tv shows. While Nestflix isn't a real streaming service, it’s an excellent pop culture resource that collates some of the most memorable fictional titles in one place, along with where they were referenced.
It also pokes fun at the number of streaming sites currently available to subscribers. The battle of real-life streaming services continues with more and more players entering the competition including Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, HBO Max, Apple TV Plus, and Disney Plus, among others.
As reported by ScreenRant, Netflix was initially founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph to compete with in-store DVD rental companies like Blockbuster, with the ability to rent movies through the mail. However, they ultimately changed their business model to provide customers with streaming movies and television shows at home, and have become a global streaming giant well-known for acquiring content and making their own Netflix original movies and series.

Can’t find a specific fictional show? Viewers can also submit their own contributions to add to the titles as long as it follows the specific criteria for the catalogue:
- Must be fictional (not characters watching a real film, not a recreation of a real film)
- Must show actual footage (not just mentioned in dialogue or seen in a poster)
- Not a news or morning show (for now, this might change)
