No Celine Dion? Veteran singer snubbed from Rolling Stone’s ‘200 Greatest Singers of All Time’ list
Celine Dion has been making the rounds online since the release of Rolling Stone’s “200 Greatest Singers of All Time,” where the veteran singer surprisingly got snubbed.
The international magazine dropped the now-viral list on Sunday, Jan. 1. “Before you start scrolling (and commenting), keep in mind that this is the Greatest Singers list, not the Greatest Voices List,” Rolling Stone noted.
“In all cases, what mattered most to us was originality, influence, the depth of an artist’s catalog, and the breadth of their musical legacy.”
Fans and supporters of the Canadian singer questioned and expressed their frustration over the list, with many of them saying that it wouldn’t have been complete without Celine Dion.
“Leaving her off your Top 200 Greatest Singers of All Time list has to be an honest and regrettable mistake… because doing it intentionally would be criminal,” a Twitter user said.

A netizen, meanwhile, called Rolling Stone’s move “a crime against humanity.”
“Celine Dion has been singing insane vocals for decades. Don’t discredit the queen,” a fan said.
Among Dion's greatest hits are To Love You More (1993), It's All Coming Back to Me Now (1996), All By Myself (1996), and My Heart Will Go On (1997).
Included in the top ten of Rolling Stone's list are Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Sam Cooke, Billie Holiday, Mariah Carey, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, Otis Redding, and Al Green. You may check out the full list here.
