In the supernatural world of Trese, the first Filipino anime produced by Netflix, this would just be another night of creatures claiming the city for themselves. In the world of weird marketing and advertising, this is just another storyboard.
Netflix Philippines posted photos of the “vandalized” billboards on their Facebook page and Twiter account with the caption, “What kind of monster would do this??? If you see something, say something—we're going to find out who did this.”
Well, we know something, but we can’t tell you just yet.
Trese is based on the horror/crime comic book created by writer Budjette Tan and artist Kajo Baldisimo. Its protagonist is detective Alexandra Trese, who solved crimes of supernatural nature in Manila.

We’re pretty sure detective Trese would not be pleased about those vandalized billboards.
The Netflix anime is directed by showrunner and executive producer Jay Oliva (Justice League Dark, The Legend of Korra), with Liza Soberano voicing Alexandra Trese in the Tagalog version, and Shay Mitchell in the English dubbing.

Shanty Harmayn and Tanya Yuson at Jakarta/Singapore’s BASE Entertainment are executive producers. Trese is written by Yuson, Zig Marasigan and Mihk Vergara.
Trese will start streaming on Friday, June 11.
