Manifestation worked for the newest Disney princess!

Rising star Rachel Zegler has been cast to play the titular character of the first Disney princess in the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs live-action film.

The 20-year-old actress said in an Instagram post that this was a dream come true and tweeted “I have manifested my entire life I think I think.”

Shortly after the announcement, Zegler quote tweeted her old post with the caption, “I wanna be a real Disney princess” with photos of her in the costume of Ariel from The Little Mermaid

Following the news, some online users have expressed doubts about the decision but director Marc Webb said Zegler has a lot to offer.

“Rachel’s extraordinary vocal abilities are just the beginning of her gifts,” Webb, who also helmed 500 Days of Summer and The Amazing Spider-Man said as reported on Deadline

“Her strength, intelligence and optimism will become an integral part of rediscovering the joy in this classic Disney fairytale,” Webb said in a statement. The production is expected to begin in 2022, produced by Marc Platt.

First released in 1937, the film will join the collection of Disney’s live-action movies.

Zegler is about to make her on-screen debut this December as Maria in the new West Side Story film, and in the upcoming superhero sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

Before this, the actress had been on several theatre stages, including her role as Belle in Beauty and the Beast and Cosette in Les Miserables
