#Tumindig: Here’s how to customize your own raised fist avatar

What was once an artist collective is now turning into a way to speak up.

With the ‘TUMINDIG’ artist movement still reaching new heights, the post's original artist Kevin Eric Raymundo, or Tarantadong Kalbo, just made it easier for non-artists to join the cause.

After sharing the 73-artist collaboration yesterday, July 21, Kevin has now shared a blank version of the raised fist icon. In earlier versions of the piece, artists had to manually edit out their own avatars through software like Photoshop. The blank slate now makes it possible for anyone to edit the icon in their own way.

“Edit. Draw. Paint. Print. Digital. Trad. Lahat tayo ay #Tumindig,” he shared. The artist also posted a transparent .PNG template for those that want to change the avatar’s color.

One way to edit it on your own is through Instagram. To start, you simply have to upload the blank photo on Instagram Stories. From there, you can add .GIFS or even draw on fine details with the in-app paint tool.

This is just one simple method, as you can still use other art apps of your choosing such as PicsArt, Procreate, or more.

Others have gone on to share their own renditions of the defiant icon on social media.

While they admit to not being artists themselves, people have been using the viral avatar to channel their advocacies and stand up for the causes close to their hearts.

Meanwhile, Raymundo also thanked supporters for making the movement blossom the way it has.

“Hindi ko inasahan ito. Napakaraming sumali. Napakalakas ng sigaw. Maraming salamat sa lahat ng #tumindig," he shared along with a new piece donning the raised fist icon on his shoulder.
