Kyungsoo Pinoy? Eagle-eyed fans spot Century Tuna cans in EXO D.O.’s solo teaser

There’s nothing that can escape eagle-eyed EXO-Ls and Dandanies—not even a can of tuna.

EXO’s Kyungsoo made fans swoon as he released a “mood sampler” of his upcoming mini-album “Empathy” on Wednesday, July 14. The retro-inspired teaser shows the singer appearing to have writer’s block as acoustic music is heard in the background.

But what caught Filipino fans’ attention, however, is the unexpected addition of two cans of Century Tuna on the windowsill in the last part of the teaser.

Filipino fans are quick to react on social media about the product, while others joked that the members of the boy group are Pinoys at heart.

A fan pointed out that the art department of SM Entertainment should “reveal themselves” due to the use of Filipino products in their artists’ work.

Ash joked that Kyungsoo is actually a Filipino who lives in Pasig City, a reference to his resemblance to Mayor Vico Sotto.

Kyungsoo, who finished his military service in January 2021, is the sixth member of EXO to debut as a solo artist, Lay, Chen, Baekhyun, Suho, and Kai. He is set to release “Empathy” on Monday, July 26.

According to The Korea Herald, the singer wrote the lyrics to the title track Rose which is described as a “scene from a 'high-teen' romance flick.” An English version of the song will also be included in the album.
