BTS, The Weeknd top winners at Billboard Music Awards 2021
The Weeknd scored the biggest win at Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards, taking home the award for Top Artist.
The Weeknd took home ten awards in various categories announced off-air prior to the live telecast held on Sunday (May 23) in Los Angeles, including Top Male Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top R&B Artist and Top R&B Male Artist.
In addition, After Hours was named Top R&B Album, while his single Blinding Lights won for Top Radio Song and Top R&B Song.
BTS also swept the awards, winning Top Selling Artist, Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Social Artist, and Top Selling Song, for their hit, Dynamite. The group also performed their latest single, Butter which they dropped on Friday.
Drake, who holds the title for most Billboard Music Award wins of all time, was honored with the Artist of the Decade Award. The rapper was joined onstage by his son Adonis as he accepted his award.

Pink accepted the Icon Award, presented by Jon Bon Jovi, after performing a string of her best-known songs, including Just Like a Pill, Get the Party Started, and So What. She also delivered a moving aerial performance of her new single, Cover Me in Sunshine, with her daughter, Willow.

Pop Smoke also won four off-air awards, including top new artist, top rap artist, top rap male artist and top rap album.
