‘The Addams Family 2’ drops official trailer

The Addams Family is back, and this time, they pull out the old Addams camper and hit the road for a much needed vacation.

MGM finally dropped the official trailer for The Addams Family 2 animated film sequel on Wednesday with the iconic goth family embarking on a goofy, very much gothic, and chaotic road trip across America.

The trailer shows the Addams parents, Morticia and Gomez, realizing that their children, Wednesday and Pugsley are slowly growing up and are becoming more distant. Gomez, in an attempt to rekindle the family’s relationship, pulls out one of his craziest ideas yet—a family road trip. "It's hideous, it's monstrous, it's the old Addams camper," Gomez announces with excitement as the RV pulls outside of their home. The kids, well, are less enthusiastic about it, even prompting Wednesday to comment, saying it's cruel, even for him.

A majority of the film’s 2019 star-studded original cast is set to reprise their roles: Oscar Isaac as Gomez Addams, Charlize Terron as Morticia Adams, Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday Addams, Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester, and Snoop Dogg as Gomez and Fester’s hairy cousin, Cousin Itt. Meanwhile, Javon "Wanna" Walton takes over Finn Wolfhard’s role for Puglsey.

Directors Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon also return to oversee the film while Kevin Miserocchi, Jonathan Glickman, Cassidy Lange, Aaron L. Gilbert, and Jason Cloth serve as executive producers.

The Addams Family 2 is slated to be released on October 1 this year.
