At long last, the most wonderful time of the year has finally arrived, and it's only a little bit more until the whole world celebrates Christmas.

To make sure that you're kept entertained until the clock marks the holly, jolly season, Netflix has a bunch of new titles for you to watch that are guaranteed to bring a festive mood into your household.

In the coming month, the streaming giant is set to debut some much-awaited shows and films like second season of the Japanese science fiction thriller Alice in Borderland, the film adaptation of the popular play Matilda the Musical, and Guillermo del Toro's reimagining of the classic story of Pinocchio.

Here are other titles to bring a smile to you and your family this December and make you cozy up on the couch for the cold season.

Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area Part 2

Premiere date: December 9

The greatest heist the world has ever seen is heating up in the second part of the South Korean adaptation of Money Heist, the Spanish crime series that originally premiered in 2017.

Maintaining similar elements from Spain's La Casa De Papel, the Korean series follows the long-divided countries of North and South Korea on the verge of a peaceful reunification.

But as the countries make preparations to print a new unified currency, a genius strategist gathers a group of thieves who are the top of their class from both countries to steal the new cash straight from the mint. With hostages trapped inside, the police strive to stop them and take down the shadowy mastermind behind it all.

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio

Premiere date: December 9

It's safe to say that we all know how the story of Pinocchio goes: a wooden puppet crafted by a kindhearted but lonely Italian woodcarver is suddenly brought to life by a blue fairy. And in order to be a real boy, Pinocchio must learn to be good and truthful in the face of a deceitful and unkind world.

However, award-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro reinvents the classic story of the wooden puppet in this stunning stop-motion musical tale.

This time, Pinocchio has an uncaring father instead of a loving one and he gets lost in a world he cannot comprehend. He then embarks on an extraordinary journey that leaves him with a deep understanding of his father and the real world.

Emily in Paris Season 3

Premiere date: December 21

Romcom lovers will receive a wonderful present this Christmas as the third season of the Emmy-nominated romcom series Emily in Paris is finally close to debuting on your television screens.

The series follows American college graduate Emily Cooper as she moves to Paris for an unexpected job opportunity, wherein she is tasked with providing an American perspective to a French marketing firm. She tries to balance this with new friendships and a complicated love life.

After much anticipation, fans will get to know what happens next after the second season ended in a cliffhanger as Emily stumbles deeper and deeper into a love triangle. Juggling this with her career, Emily is forced to decide where her future lies.

Alice in Borderland Season 2

Premiere date: December 22

Based on the Japanese manga of the same name, Alice in Borderland is set in the abandoned city of Tokyo where people are forced to become players of dangerous games, the type and difficulty of which are determined by playing cards.

Once a player succeeds (or survives) the games, they will be awarded "visas" to extend their lives, otherwise they'll be killed by red lasers being shot from the sky.

The first season focuses on a 24-year-old video game-obsessed man named Arisu and how he strives to win the games through his amazing analytical skills. This time, however, the games are deadlier and the world has become more wild and cruel.

Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical

Premiere date: December 25

If you have never seen the critically-acclaimed stage play Matilda the Musical that was first performed back in 2010, then Netflix has a gift for you and your family as they're set to debut the play's film adaptation just in time for Christmas.

The film centers on its titular character Matilda Wormwood, a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence, and psychokinetic powers. While she doesn't get any form of love from her atrocious parents, she receives tremendous amounts of it from her kind school teacher Miss Honey.

However, her school life isn't all rainbows and sunshine as the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, despises children and has made it her mission to come up with new punishments for those who don't follow her rules.
