Deadpool officially ‘crosses over’ to the MCU in wacky ‘Free Guy’ promo
Its maximum effort time for the merc with a mouth as Ryan Reynolds, who plays the titular hero, recently uploaded a promotional video for his upcoming movie Free Guy featuring Taika Waititi’s Korg from Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame.

In the anti-hero’s fake “Deadpool’s Maximum Reactions” series, the two react to a Free Guy trailer that features both Reynolds and Waititi.
“If you include Deadpool’s cocaine rider, this is the most expensive reaction video ever made,” Reynolds said in the tweet.
This is the third FIRST TIME I've ever worked with Ryan Rennolds. @FreeGuyMovie in theatres AUGUST 13. #ReactionVideo https://t.co/EkWHN4ODhd— Taika Waititi (@TaikaWaititi) July 13, 2021
“This is the third FIRST TIME I've ever worked with Ryan Rennolds [sic],” said Waititi in a separate tweet.
This is a dream come true for comic book and Marvel fans as this teases the fact that the two can now legally be in one film as Disney, who owns Marvel Studios, now also owns 20th Century Studios (formerly 20th Century Fox).
Marvel head Kevin Feige already confirmed this news in the past stating that Deadpool will officially be joining the MCU eventually while still being an R-rated film.
Of course, the promo would be boring if Mr. Pool did not deliver with his classic “I don’t care” attitude and fans were not disappointed.
Reynolds took jab after jab at both studios and even obliterated Waititi’s Korg stating that the Kronan warrior “was not my first choice but apparently everyone else was too busy over on Disney Plus,” and “Yeah, I preferred [Thor] Dark World.”
“Not sure if it was worth diverting Canadian Cumberbatch’s [Ryan Reynolds] little mind away from my next movie,” Deadpool also stated in the promo.
Free Guy is an upcoming film where Reynolds portrays a video game NPC who eventually develops free will and breaks the internet, where Waititi will serve as the main villain trying to shut down the game where all of the commotion is happening.
Free Guy will premiere only in theaters on August 13.
