Mark your calendars, pageant fans! It’s just a month until we meet the newest Miss Philippines queen.

The organization announced on Saturday, Sept. 23, that the coronation night will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The event will have a back-to-back competition, kicking off with Mister Pilipinas Worldwide from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by the announcement of contest winners.

Miss Philippines, meanwhile, will begin at 6:30 p.m. It is estimated to run for two hours.

Further details about the performers, ticket prices, and selling dates are yet to be announced.

The upcoming event marks the organization’s first-ever coronation night. 21 candidates will vie for three crowns representing the Philippines on the global stages of Miss Charm, Miss Supranational, and Miss Asia Pacific International.

The new pageant, founded by Miss Universe Universe Philippines national director and former titleholder Shamcey Supsup along with the MUPH creative and events director Jonas Gaffud, was described as the "most ground-breaking national competition."

Driven by the goal to “reinvent pageantry,” Miss Philippines has opened its doors to mothers and married women, as well as fathers and married men interested in competing in the pageant. The age limit was also raised to 32 years old.

In addition, the organization previously announced the removal of the swimsuit competition. They will instead require candidates to have “Ted Talks-type speeches” and replace the formal wear segment with a "red-carpet moment" similar to that of the Cannes Film Festival.

Its appointed reigning queen is Pauline Amelinckx—who is also hailed as the Miss Supranational first runner-up in the international competition.
