The epic conclusion of the Jurassic era is coming to the big screen this month. Jurassic World Dominion, the sixth and final installment in the long-running dinosaur saga, unites two generations for the first time against dinosaurs who now live and hunt alongside humans.

It's been almost 30 years since the classic films kicked off with the Steven Spielberg-directed Jurassic Park (1993), followed by The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) and Jurassic Park III (2001).
Looking for something more family-friendly for the kids' first moviehouse outing since the pandemic? Kids can enjoy returning to cinemas with animated origin stories like Lightyear from Disney/Pixar and Illumination's Minions: The Rise of Gru.
For fans of local movies, Ngayon Kaya, the long-delayed film starring Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino, is also finally set for release two years after it was unveiled.

Jurassic World Dominion
Release date: June 8
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are joined by Oscar-winner Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill in Jurassic World Dominion, a bold, timely and breathtaking new adventure that spans the globe.
From Jurassic World architect and director Colin Trevorrow, Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world.
This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.
Lightyear
Release date: June 15
Lightyear is the origin story of Buzz Lightyear, the hero who inspired the toy space ranger seen in the hit Toy Story movie franchise.
Lightyear follows the legendary Space Ranger (voiced by Chris Evans) after he’s marooned on a hostile planet 4.2 million light-years from Earth alongside his commander and their crew.
As Buzz tries to find a way back home through space and time, he’s joined by a group of ambitious recruits and his charming robot companion cat, Sox.
Complicating matters and threatening the mission is the arrival of Zurg, an imposing presence with an army of ruthless robots and a mysterious agenda.
Elvis
Release date: June 22
Visionary filmmaker Baz Luhrmann's latest drama stars Austin Butler and Oscar winner Tom Hanks.
This film explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks).
The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America.
Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge).
Ngayon Kaya
Release date: June 22
Ngayon Kaya which stars Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino tells the story of two good friends who are caught between a possible romance. The film isn't just a simple love story, but a story of what was, what could have been, and what can be now. The Filipino romance film directed by Prime Cruz (Isa Pa with Feelings) was originally supposed to debut in April 2020 as part of the Metro Manila Summer Film Festival but was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Everything Everywhere All at Once
Release date: June 29
Hollywood's latest sci-fi film Everything Everywhere All at Once is coming to local cinemas in the Philippines this month.
The absurdist comedy-drama stars Michelle Yeo (Crazy Rich Asians, Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings) as an aging Chinese-American woman being audited for her taxes who discovers that she must connect with parallel universe versions of herself when an interdimensional rupture unravels reality. The unlikely hero must channel her newfound powers to fight bizarre and bewildering dangers from the multiverse as the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
Minions: The Rise of Gru
Release date: June 29
The fifth installment in the Despicable Me franchise is an origin story of how the world’s greatest supervillain first met his iconic yellow crew.
Minions: The Rise of Gru is set in 1970s suburbia, with 12-year old Gru (Steve Carell) forging a despicable crew in an attempt to become evil enough to join his favorite team of supervillains.
Long before he becomes the master of evil, Gru hatches a plan to take over the world from his basement.
When Gru crosses paths with the Minions, including Kevin, Stuart, Bob, and Otto—a new Minion sporting braces and a desperate need to please—this unexpected family joins forces. Together, they build their first lair, design their first weapons, and strive to execute their first missions.
