‘Ninjala’ collabs with ‘Demon Slayer’ on 1st anniversary

Nintendo Switch’s free-to-play multiplayer action video game, Ninjala, is celebrating its one year anniversary with a collaboration with one of the biggest current anime, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba.

The dynamic 3-D ninja action 4v4 online game developed by Soleil Ltd. and published by GungHo Online Entertainment, was released last year on June 24. For the game’s first anniversary, GungHo Online Entertainment announced that a Demon Slayer event will be hosted in the game this July 19 and will run until August 30.

Included in the much-awaited collaboration event, are the main cast of the popular anime, Demon Slayer. Featured in the short teaser are Tanjiro Kamado, his sister Nezuko, Inosuke Hashibara, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and others.

Avatar items styled after Tanjiro, Nezuko, Kyojuro Rengoku, and Muzan Kibutsuji, and other Demon Slayer-themed items will be added during the collaboration. Among the special features are Demon Slayer character outfits for Ninjala avatars, emotes that allow players to copy the breathing techniques from the popular franchise, and special Demon Slayer tournaments with numerous rewards.

Before the Demon Slayer event comes to the game, Ninjala will host its first year tournament on July 17. The event will be available in all regions and will allow players to compete by collecting special points. The top four players will receive special rank-exclusive goodies and rewards like decorations and emotes.

GungHo Online Entertainment also announced that Ninjala’s seventh season is on its way. A brand new feature battle is set to be added in the game called “Last Ninja Standing,” a battle royale mode and a “Visual Lobby” where players can show off their collectibles such as outfits, emotes, and stickers to eight other players.
