‘Cyberpunk 2077’ finally back on PlayStation store

After more than six months since its removal, CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 is finally back on the PlayStation store for purchase.

It has been almost 187 days since the video game was exiled from Sony’s digital store due to several technical issues and glitches rendering the game completely unplayable, disappointing both PlayStation and Xbox fans.

However, despite the much awaited return and multiple patches and hotfixes done by CD Projekt, Sony drops a warning. The company recommends its players to stay away from the older generation of consoles when playing Cyberpunk 2077.

“For the best experience on PlayStation, playing on PS4 Pro or PS5 consoles is recommended,” PlayStation said in a Twitter post.

Additionally, Sony issued an important notice on the PlayStation Store, stating that “Users continue to experience performance issues with this game.”

CD Projekt also voiced the same issue in a Tweet, “Users may continue to experience some performance issues with the PS4 edition while we continue to improve stability across all platforms.”

Under the thread, fans had mixed reactions. Some raised their frustrations stating why they still have to pay for a “broken game” while others commended CD Projekt for making it playable compared to its initial release game experience.

The punk futuristic open-world action role playing game has been through a rough patch last year. Only a week after its release, Sony immediately pulled Cyberpunk 2077 out from the PlayStation Store due to complaints for bad graphics, poor performance, and bugs. In the end, PlayStation and CD Projekt offered refunds to those who wished to avail it.
