Don't want to waste instant film? Fujifilm's Instax Mini Evo lets you choose and edit photos before you print

There's a spontaneous charm with taking photos on an instant camera. But since you won't be sure photos will always turn out good, you could end up with bad prints.

Instant cameras nowadays, however, are becoming more advanced like Fujifilm's new Instax Mini Evo. This hybrid shooter combines the spontaneity of an instant film camera with the conveniences of a digital one, so you won't end up wasting film.

The device's body evokes a retro feel—it sports a classic design with a sense of luxury with its silver-coated buttons and dials. It's the first Instax to have a print lever, a lens dial, and a film dial for an analog-like operation.

Pick and edit before you print

After taking a photo, you can review their shots on the Instax Mini Evo on its 3-inch LCD screen where you can select images, add frames, edit, and adjust settings. There are 10 built-in lenses including soft focus and light leak as well as 10 filters like monochrome and retro, which can be combined to get 100 effects.

Once you're happy with a pic, you can print it by pulling a lever like how you would with an old film camera.

You can even send these photos to their smartphones for easy sharing on social media through the dedicated Instax app. The camera can store images, too, since it has a microSD slot.

This hybrid camera charges via USB-C, so there's no need for double-A batteries like its other Instax siblings.

The Instax Mini Evo is available for P11,499 at Fujifilm Instax dealers nationwide. Those purchasing the camera will get free films and a microSD card.
