The "ber" months haven't arrived yet, but who could blame you if you began singing Jose Mari Chan's iconic Christmas songs as early as now? It comes as no wonder because as soon as August started, many Pinoy netizens went about flooding social media feeds with memes featuring the warm smiling face of the famed singer-songwriter.

Chan has been a huge part of Christmas in the Philippines for his songs Christmas in Our Hearts, A Perfect Christmas, Mary’s Boy Child, and more, which have become the season's anthem in households, malls, jeepneys, radio stations, internet, and basically everywhere you go. These iconic songs touched the hearts of many Filipinos, that it prompted internet users to create memes about Chan.

Not gonna lie, Filipino historian Michael “Xiao” Chua had us on the first half! Chua shared a satirical reaction on Facebook about the resurfacing of the Jose Mari Chan memes which ended with him restating the lyrics to Christmas in Our Hearts.

One tweet also asked us to wait a little longer as Chan is still tuning his guitar.
