Get ready for more Lupin!

Netflix has released new footage from the second half of Season 1 of Lupin, the hit French mystery thriller series which stars Omar Sy as Assane Diop, a modern-day gentleman thief who is inspired by master thief Arsène Lupin.

The streaming service shared the teaser trailer on Saturday (Mar. 6) for Lupin Part 2, which will consist of five episodes. The first five episodes under Part 1 were released last January 2021.

The series follows Assane as he seeks revenge against the family that ruined his father's life. The trailer for Part 2 shows Assane searching for his son, Raoul (Etan Simon), who was kidnapped by Leonard (Adama Niane) at the end of Part 1.

"Assane's quest for revenge against Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre) has torn his family to pieces. With his back to the wall, he now has to think of a new plan, even if it means putting himself in danger," the official Netflix synopsis reads.

The second half of season one is directed by Ludovic Bernard (The Climb) and Hugo Gélin (Love at Second Sight).

The French original from Gaumont Télévision is created by George Kay (Killing Eve) in collaboration with François Uzan (Family Business) and is a contemporary adaptation of the novels penned by French writer Maurice LeBlanc, who created the character in 1905.

As reported by YahooNews, Lupin set a global benchnark for the French series with 70M households projected to watch the first five episodes within four weeks of its launch on Jan. 8, topping other recent Netflix hits such as Bridgerton and The Queen's Gambit.
