Netflix recently released a Halloween-themed promo spot for The Witcher titled, Geralt’s Monster Mash, set to the classic Halloween song that teases a couple of new monsters in the upcoming second season.

Based on the best-selling fantasy series of books, The Witcher is an epic tale of the intertwined destinies of three individuals in the vast world of The Continent, where humans, elves, witchers, gnomes, and monsters battle to survive.

The 54-second video puts the spotlight on some monsters that Henry Cavill’s Geralt has faced off with and destroyed in the show’s first season, and shows brief glimpses of new monsters from season two.

Netflix posted the video on Oct. 31 with the caption, “The White Wolf takes Halloween as a personal challenge. But keep your eyes peeled for a few sweet treats... you won't want to miss what's hidden."

New creatures can be spotted around the 15- and 30-second marks in the video. The first looks like a grotesque spider-like creature with a bloody eyeball. The second creature features three skeletons bound together.

According to the logline for season two, the story will pick up after the epic showdown:

“Convinced Yennefer’s (Anya Chalotra) life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) brings Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan) to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”

Joining the cast for Season 2 are Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones) as Nivellen, Yasen Atour (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation) as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Paul Bullion (Peaky Blinders) as Lambert, Thue Ersted Rasmussen (Fast and Furious 9) as Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross (The Danish Girl) as Lydia, and Mecia Simson as Francesca.

The Witcher Season 2 is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2021.
