Do you still remember how and when the war in The Penthouse started? It’s been almost a year since the premiere of its first season (Oct. 6, 2020 to be exact), and a lot of things have happened in Hera Palace in three seasons.

Tonight, you can stream the series finale of The Penthouse: War in Life on Viu, Viki, Drama Cool, and KissAsian. Are you ready to say goodbye?

Before we catch the last episode, here’s a look back at remarkable and unforgettable scenes that gave us goosebumps.

* Spoilers ahead *

1. The comeback of a stronger Oh Yoon-Hee (Season 1, Episode 1)

Who can forget this remarkable “도둑년 (Dodugnyeon) / you are just a darned thief” line by Oh Yoon-Hee? Every time Cheon Seo-Jin hears these words, there is a fight for sure. This scene hooked viewers into loving the series. Everyone was curious about how Oh Yoon-Hee would get her revenge on Cheon Seo-Jin.

2. Min Seol-Ah’s death (Season 1, Episode 4)

One of the most tragic deaths in K-drama land. This brought us mixed emotions on how Min Seol-Ah would escape that night; pity for Min Seol-Ah as she is not given a chance to meet her mother; regret for Shim Su-Ryeon as only she knows that Min Seol-Ah is one of her long-lost daughters on the night Min Seol-Ah died; and of course, questions about who the real culprit is.

3. Logan Lee reveals himself (Season 1, Episode 12)

Have you ever thought that Gu Ho-Dong and Logan Lee were the same person? Logan Lee disguised himself as Professor Gu Ho-Dong to get revenge on people in Hera Palace who abused his poor sister Min Seol-Ah. And who would have thought that Shim Su-Ryeon and Logan Lee would become lovers in this series? The chemistry between them is so strong!

4. Death of Cheon Seo-Jin’s father (Season 1, Episode 16)

The creepiest scene in the whole series! This is the night when her father almost takes back his decision to give the director position to Cheon Seo-Jin after learning she is having an affair with Joo Dan-Te.

During their fight, she lets her father die next to her just to finally get her dream position. Kim So-Yeon’s (as Cheon Seo-Jin) deserves the Best Actress award in the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards.

5. Yoon-Yoon Couple’s comeback (Season 2, Episode 2)

The most awaited engagement party of Joo Dan-Te and Cheon Seo-Jin is ruined by the Yoon-Yoon couple. This is one of the most satisfying scenes as the couple comes back to Korea to ruin Joo Dan-Te and Cheon Seo-Jin’s lives.

6. Cheon Seo-Jin’s ghost singer (Season 2, Episode 2)

When you hear the Una Voce Poco Fa song, The Penthouse will always come to mind. The mind-blowing revenge of Oh Yoon-Hee will always be remembered as it gave us an enjoyable feeling seeing Cheon Seo-Jin fear Oh Yoon-Hee, and a satisfying feeling as Oh Yoon-Hee’s harmonious voice has finally come back and is heard by people.

7. Yoo Je-Ni’s confession (Season 2, Episode 4)

Yoo Je-Ni inspired viewers to speak up on bullying as she reveals that Joo Seok-Kyung, Ha Eun-Byeol, and Lee Min-Hyeok were bullies. She also shows that she’s become partly bald and has reflux esophagitis from stress. This scene got viewers talking about school violence.

8. Oh Yoon-Hee’s revelation (Season 2, Episode 10)

The revelation of Oh Yoon-Hee that Ha Yoon-Chul is Bae Ro-Na’s biological father made us all cry.

9. Joo Seok-Hoon with Bae Ro-Na, and Shim Su-Ryeon reunion (Season 2, Episode 11)

Indeed, Hera Palace residents are immortal! Revelation after revelation for Joo Seok-Hoon. He gets to know the love of his life, Bae Ro-Na, is alive. He discovers that his mother Shim Su-Ryeon is alive as well.

10. Shim Su-Ryeon, Oh Yoon-Hee and Cheon Seo-Jin as a team (Season 2, Episode 12)

It is satisfying to see Joo Dan-Te being set up right? How the plans were constructed blew our minds. Shim Su-Ryeon, Oh Yoon-Hee, and Cheon Seo-Jin planting fake pieces of evidence to frame Joo Dan-Te for killing Na Ae-Gyo is fulfilling to watch.

11. Oh Yoon-Hee’s death (Season 3, Episode 4)

A heroic act from Oh Yoon-Hee brings her to death. It gave us chills at how fast Cheon Seo-Jin’s mind changes every time there is a situation like this. Instead of helping and saving Oh Yoon-Hee, she decides to make Oh Yoon-Hee disappear.

12. Ha Yoon-Chul's death (Season 3, Episode 13)

Oh Yoon-Hee is the person who is in Ha Yoon-Chul’s mind until his last breath. Even though Cheon Seo-Jin was the person who was next to him for the past several years, his love for Oh Yoon-Hee still did not change, it was always there.

Watching this series was a roller-coaster ride. It’ll be hard for fans to say goodbye to The Penthouse.
