Cottagecore is out, and emo is back in.

ICYMI, the Internet and early 2000s music fans were on a field day yesterday after the announcement of an all-new music fest called When We Were Young.

Not only does the jampacked event ring in the possible return of in-person concerts, but its unbelievable lineup consists of acts that were once the stuff of iPod Minis playlists and teenage room posters.

From My Chemical Romance, A Day To Remember, Sleeping With Sirens, Paramore, to Avril Lavigne, and more, the When We Were Young quickly climbed up the trending list and will likely stay in fans' minds until the show comes into fruition on Oct. 22 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Still on that hype train? Here are the Internet's best memes and reactions to When We Were Young.

The emo revolution is back

Amid the clamor, fans were quick to reference the days of shimmery eyeliner and spiky hair that ushered in the festival's leading acts, My Chemical Romance and Paramore.

Though the fad of being emo had its hay day in the early 2000s, millennials can't help but bring back the good 'ol days with some memes.

Nostalgia at the core

Meanwhile, another strong reason that the festival is the sense of nostalgia of seeing one's favorite bands on the live stage once again. Though some millennials have pointed out the hilarious effects of age.

Logistical concerns

Despite the hype, concerned fans have also pointed out the fact that over 50 acts are promised, causing a possible logistical nightmare on Oct. 22.

Some have even referenced When We Were Young to the publicly scrutinized luxury festival Fyre Festival that frauded thousands of attendees and saw over $100 million in damages.

Some have also pointed out When We Were Young's organizers, Live Nation Entertainment, are also behind Travis Scott's deadly Astroworld concert, which saw 10 people dead and hundreds injured.

Meanwhile, a local version of the When We Were Young poster is also making the rounds online — with one important comment from this netizen:
