The Digimon Card Game is officially making its English debut on January 2021. With the release of the English packs, the brand new card game of the popular franchise is all set to go global.

According to the announcement posted at the game’s official Twitter account, there will be three pre-built starter decks available on the English release to represent all three main characters: Tai, Matt, and Takeru.

The game starts in the battle area where each player starts with a companion Digimon.

Booster packs will be available to strengthen each Digimon, who evolves, gets stronger, and gains new powers. You win the game by reducing the opponent’s Security Area cards to zero and delivering a knockout blow.

The Digimon Card Game Starter Deck – available in Gaia Red, Cocytus Blue, and Heaven’s Yellow – arrives on shelves Jan. 2021 with an MSRP of $9.99 (P485).

Alongside the trio, there will be a Digimon Card Game Release Special Booster Ver.1.0 pack, which contains seven DigiDestined cards. It has an MSRP of $3.99 (P193).

A tutorial app is scheduled to be launched later this year, as well as the official rule manual.
