Avengers: Endgame and The Gray Man's Russo brothers, are set to return to Netflix with a sci-fi adaptation of the graphic novel Electric State.

The directorial duo, consisting of Joe and Anthony Russo, are also said to team up with Stranger Things’ Millie Bobbie Brown and Guardians of the Galaxy’s Chris Pratt for the upcoming film.

The Russos are currently preparing to give a fresh take on  Simon Stålenhag’s dystopian novel together with writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who also collaborated with the Russos in the making of Captain America and Avengers: Infinity War.

According to a Netflix report, Electric State is set in a retro-futuristic past, as runaway orphan Michelle (Brown) and her sweet yet mysterious robot embark on a journey to find her younger brother. The duo also teams up with “an eccentric drifter” in their quest that is accompanied by enormous battle drones and discarded pieces of a high-tech consumerist society.

Deadline has reported that Pratt is rumored to star with the Enola Holmes actress but is yet to be confirmed as the deal has not been closed yet.

The report also stated that along with the Russo brothers and Mike Larocca for television company AGBO, Chris Castaldi and Patrick Newall are also set to produce Electric State.  Meanwhile, Angela Russo-Otstot, Jake Aust, Geoff Haley, Markus, and McFeely were confirmed to be part of Electric State as executive producers.

Electric State is part of AGBO’s continuing partnership with Netflix. The streaming giant did not specify a date for the film's production but is eyeing to between September to December in Atlanta.

The Russos have built a reputation for directing four films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. The duo also directed some episodes of sitcoms Community and Arrested Development prior to their Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.

They also have an upcoming action-thriller film, The Gray Man, which is set to release on July 22 and will feature a star-studded cast headlined by Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Ana de Armas.
