‘It’s weird’: Gwyneth Paltrow and daughter Apple reveal they don’t watch her movies

Despite having achieved numerous accolades and making a name for herself in the industry, sometimes your mom is simply just your mom in your eyes. At least, that's the case for Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter, Apple.

Speaking on the Today Show's Shop TODAY with Jill Martin, Gwyneth shared that her daughter with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin finds it "weird" to see her mother on the big screen.

“My kids have never seen me in a movie. I mean, I think my son [Moses] has seen the Iron Man things, but I don't think my daughter has seen me in a movie."

When probed further, Gwyneth explained that her 17-year old daughter "likes me here like how she knows me and it's weird when I'm on screen."

Boasting almost 50 acting credits such as Shakespeare In Love, Shallow Hal, Se7en, and Marvel's Iron Man Franchise among others, the 48-year old actress understands her daughter's decision, as she doesn't revisit any of her old projects herself.

"I also, really hate, hate, hate seeing myself in a movie ever."

Despite not being a fan of her old works, she reveals that there's only one film that she could stomach seeing again—all because of a set visit from someone close to her heart.

Per Entertainment Weekly, Paltrow can apparently only watch her one scene from Wes Anderson's Royal Tenenbaums (2001) because her father was on set. The scene itself sees Gwyneth's character Margot getting off a bus to reunite with her stepbrother and childhood flame to the tune of Nico's These Days.

"My dad was there. It was a very special day. It's kind of like the only scene that I can watch myself of my whole career," she explained.
