LIST: Winners of the first-ever Summer MMFF Gabi ng Parangal

The first-ever summer Metro Manila Film Festival has named its winners, with About Us But Not About Us sweeping 10 awards. 

The psychological drama took home the awards for Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Editing, Best Musical Score, and Best Sound. 

The film’s writer and director Jun Lana won the Best Director award, its lead star Romnick Sarmenta won the Best Actor, while Elijah Canlas was given the Special Jury Prize. 

On the other hand, Kaladkaren made “herstory” by becoming the first transwoman to win at the MMFF, bagging the Best Supporting Actress award. 

The summer MMFF Gabi ng Parangal was held on Tuesday, April 11 at the New Frontier Theater. Its board of jurors was led by award-winning Triangle of Sadness actress Dolly De Leon. See the full list of winners below:
