Netflix launches TikTok-like feed 'Fast Laughs'

Netflix is taking on TikTok with the launch of Fast Laughs, a new feature on the streaming platform's mobile app that offers a collection of funny clips.

Currently available on iOS in select countries, Fast Laughs provides a full-screen feed of short clips curated from Netflix's comedy catalog including films, series, sitcoms and stand-up performances from comedians like Kevin Heart and Ali Wong.

Similar to TikTok and Instagram Reels, clips will continuously play once users access the new feature through the app's navigation menu.

"Clips will start playing—when one ends another begins, to keep the laughs coming," Product Innovation director Patrick Flemming said.

"And what if you see a scene from a classic that is long overdue for a rewatch? Or catch something new that deserves a closer look? Fast Laughs lets you add series, films and stand-up specials to your list, or start viewing them immediately," he added.

Users can also share their favorite snippets individually on social media apps like Whatsapp, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter so others can get in on the fun, too.

Netflix said that it will soon start testing the new feature on Android devices.
