Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson once couldn't stand to see his mom cry, but he recently left her in tears of joy as he surprised her with a brand new home.
The actor shared a video of his gift to mother Ata on Instagram on June 5. "I surprised my mom and bought her a new home."
"I've been lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she's told me over and over these past few years, 'After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. That's my dream,'" Johnson wrote.
The former wrestler added that there's "no greater feeling" than making his mother happy. In the video set to the tune of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Ata is seen emotional as she opened the doors to her new abode.
The family room features Ata's vintage ukuleles hung up on the wall and photos of their ancestors that she hasn't seen since she grew up in Samoa.
The house also features a new "Smackdown Room" filled with memorabilia from Johnson's wrestling days. Items like posters, game balls from the University of Miami, movie awards, and championship titles are on display.
"I always say, if you got a good mom then you got a shot at becoming a good, caring human being," Johnson said.
