The pageant was held at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland, on July 15, in the early morning of July 15 in Manila. Andrea Aguilera of Ecuador won the top title.

Filipinos are still proud of Pauline's journey and how far she came in the competition. Many of her friends and fellow beauty queens took to social media to congratulate her on her amazing feat.

In an Instagram post, Miss Universe Philippines national director Shamcey Supsup said she is proud of the Filipino-Belgian beauty queen for giving the country a good fight. “I really thought we had it in the bag but no matter what, you are the winner in our hearts,” she wrote in the caption.

Beauty queens Miss Universe 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez and Miss International 2022 Top 15 Hannah Arnold expressed their gratitude towards Pauline for representing the country.

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee also thanked Pauline for a job well done.

"Flawless. Thank you for raising our flag so loud and proud," she wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi praised Pauline for giving an amazing performance.

"Every time Pauline answers, you know it’s coming from the heart. It’s just authentic and sincere. She is indeed the queen of dedication. I’m super proud of her, I’ve seen how much she [has] grown. Let’s all send her our love and support for bringing pride to the country," Celeste tweeted.

She posted another tweet comforting Filipinos saying that Michelle Dee will bring the crown home for the country during the Miss Universe pageant instead.

"Don’t you worry guys. Ibabawi tayo ni @michellemdee. But yeah, we’re just super proud of @PaulineAmelinck. I can’t move on," she expressed.

Likewise, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2022 Roberta Tamondong, who reposted a video of Pauline, wrote: “The execution was flawless! You made us all proud.”

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 1st runner-up Christine Opiaza congratulated her and said she “fought gracefully until the end,” while Miss World 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez said Pauline "will always be our queen and inspiration."

With the amount of dedication and passion she put into the competition, Filipinos could not be more proud of the Bohol native.
