Jisoo fronts the cover of 'Vogue France'

By Camille Santiago Published Feb 24, 2023 11:19 am

Jisoo made history as the first-ever Korean celebrity and first Asian to grace the cover of Vogue France.

In the latest issue, Jisoo is named as a pop culture icon of this new generation, making her "the perfect cover star."

"She is daring, vibrant and delicate, yet never fragile," said the magazine.

In the photos, which were taken by photographer Hugo Comte, Jisoo sports a lace crinoline Dior dress and ribbed linen shorts. The BLACKPINK member was also styled with long hair extensions and bangs by hairstylist Seon Yeong Lee to complement her romantic makeup look by Myung Sun Lee.

According to Vogue France, the feature is also a tribute to the late Vivienne Westwood, who was known for celebrating freedom of expression through fashion.

On Instagram, Jisoo posted the same cover, sharing her excitement, writing: "Such a memorable moment working with @voguefrance @dior."

Meanwhile, she is reportedly working on her music video for her solo debut. Agency YG Entertainment said that it has the “largest production budget amongst all BLACKPINK videos,” and that it is being shot overseas.

The cover will be available online and on newsstands on February 24.
