Lucky fangirls meet Maxene Magalona in an unexpected, funny encounter
Nothing beats the joy of having an unexpected encounter with a celebrity, but these two ladies had a funny twist that they will surely never forget.
Lucky fangirls Frenzy Carizon and Rachelle Villafuerte drew laughs with their viral TikTok video—which currently has three million views as of writing—sharing their unexpected-turned-embarrassingly funny interaction with actress Maxene Magalona.
Recalling the incident, Frenzy shared that she first saw Maxene but unfortunately wasn’t able to greet her since she went far, but when they are about to go back after their tour around the Big Lagoon, they stumbled upon the actress.
“[Rachel] decided na magsama na kami sa kayak kasi magvlog-vlog-an kami. Pabalik na kami sa boat nun kasi tapos na kami mag ikot sa Big Lagoon, [tapos] biglang narinig namin may nakanta ng Kaleidoscope kaya pinuntahan namin,” Frenzy told PhilSTAR L!fe. It was then they finally met Maxene, up close and personal.

“While papalapit kami kay Maxene, nag-hi agad ako kay Ms. Maxene, and nag-hi na din si Rachelle, sa sobrang taranta namin, we forgot na nasa kayak pala kami,” she continued, not knowing that there will be an unexpected plot twist.
“Nung itatapat na niya kay Ms Maxene ‘yung [camera] sumama ‘yung katawan niya sa pag tagilid, siguro [dahil] sa sobrang excited. Ayun bigla na lang kaming nahulog hahaha at hindi namin alam na nakunan pala mismo yung pagtaob namin. Nauntog pa kami ng slight. Pero keri lang. Tiis ganda muna,” she told L!fe.
Frenzy shared that she and Rachel are big fans of the “King of Pinoy rap,” the late Francis Magalona, so seeing the actress really made them excited.
“Super fan kasi talaga kami ni Francis M. Kaya goosebumps nung pinanood namin na nakanta sila ng Kaleidoscope World doon sa big lagoon,” she said.
“Si Ms. Maxene, we follow her sa social media kasi maganda ‘yung mga post niya na mga quotes [na] nakakagood vibes. At sobrang ganda nya kasi hindi nakakasawang tignan. Super simple at approachable,” she continued.
Although embarrassed, Frenzy and Rachel were able to not just take pictures with the actress, but also shared a core memory that they will remember.
“After the video, ayun madami kami picture with Ms. Maxene, pero sobrang nagtawanan muna kami dun, kasama ‘yung mga kumakanta ng Kaleidoscope. Sila ‘yung nag take ng pictures sa amin. And sila din tumulong samin para makabalik sa kayak,” she recalled.
“Rinig na rinig namin yung tawa niya pero focus pa din kami sa goal na makapagpapicture,” she said, adding: “Ang sarap lang sa feeling na marinig yung tawa ni Maxene kahit nakakahiya.”
Frenzy said that they didn’t meet Maxene again after the kayak ride, but said that Maxene commented on Facebook saying, “Naaalala ko pa sabi mo, 'Sila kumanta, kami tumaob!'"
On the shared post, Maxene wrote: “Ka cute nila!!! Next time, ako naman ang tataob! Makiki-swimming ako sa inyo,” to which Frenzy quipped: “From Kaleidoscope to Bagsakan real quick.”
Looking back on their special encounter, Frenzy and Rachelle hope to meet the actress again soon, out of the kayak.
“Hoping kami na sana ma-meet ulit namin siya and makapag-picture kami [na] hindi na kailangan tumaob,” they said.
