Miss Universe PH 2022 Celeste Cortesi reunites with mom in Italy after two years
Miss Universe Philippines 2022 has flown to Parma, Italy to spend time with her mother after two years.
"Just like old times," the reigning queen wrote on Instagram, posting photos with her Filipina mom Maria Luisa Rabimbi. She also posted snaps of life at home with her dog.
The Filipino-Italian beauty has always been vocal about being close with her mom and even dedicated an answer to her during the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant.
Asked about how she would spend time if she could stop it, Cortesi said she would spend it with family.
"If I could stop time, I would spend it with my family, especially my mother. It's been two years since I spent time with my family in Italy and I just came here by myself. So if I have a chance to spend one day, I would be with my mom and tell her how much I love and miss her," she said on April 30.
After winning the crown, the beauty queen said her parents were her source of strength amid the competition.
"To make you proud is the greatest fulfillment of my life," she wrote, sharing a photo of her mother's reaction to her win.
Cortesi is set to represent the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Universe 2022 pageant.
