After about eight years of debuting as a member of the K-pop boy band ASTRO, Cha Eun Woo is gearing up for a solo debut.

In a report by Korean entertainment outlet Soompi, Eun Woo's agency, Fantagio, confirmed that the K-pop star is preparing for his first solo album to be released in the first half of 2024.

According to the agency, Eun Woo will unveil the songs from his album on stage during his first fan con, "2024 Just One 10 Minute [Mystery Elevator]," in Seoul, South Korea this February.

"In particular, he is preparing with the objective of unveiling the songs from his solo album for the first time on stage at his first fan-con, which is scheduled to be held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium on Feb. 17, so please show lots of anticipation," the statement read.

ASTRO's visual and sub-vocalist is set to visit the Phillippines on March 16. He will also visit other Asian countries such as Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Japan, Singapore, and Jakarta as part of the fan conference.

The confirmation came after SPOTV News reported Tuesday that the True Beauty star is set to release his much-awaited solo album.

Eun Woo last visited the Philippines in July for his fan meet as an ambassador of a doughnut brand. He also went to the country in August 2022 for his "Starry Caravan" fan meet at the Araneta Coliseum. He even held a virtual fan meet for Filipino fans called "Hallyu Hangouts" by Smart Communications in January of the same year.

The Korean star debuted as a K-pop idol in 2016 under the boy group ASTRO alongside Sanha, Rocky, Jinjin, MJ, and Moonbin.

He is also known for his roles in K-dramas such as True Beauty, Island, Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung, Gangnam Beauty, and A Good Day to Be a Dog. He is set to star in the upcoming MBC drama Wonderful World, which is scheduled to premiere in March.
