Yasmien Kurdi is now a mom of two!

On her Instagram post on Monday, April 29, the actress shared that she initially wanted to deliver her second daughter via VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) or normal delivery, but had to switch to cesarean section due to “many high-risk possible scenarios.”

“After series of tests nalaman namin na manipis pa din pala ang CS scar ko even after 11 years - not a good indication. Di na namin itinuloy because of many high-risk possible scenarios and we opted for CS the day I labored,” she wrote.

“We also found out during the procedure that the baby had a cord coil. It actually was a good call that we opted CS because if we tried VBAC we would have ended up doing CS still,” she added.

In the carousel post, the Starstruck alum shared snaps of her on the table during the procedure.

“A #cesarean (C-Section) is a lifesaving procedure for women like me.. I chose to do whatever it took to get my baby out healthy and safe!” she continued. She also expressed gratitude to all the doctors and nurses who assisted her during the delivery.

Her fans and other celebrities, including Carla Abellana and Chynna Ortaleza sent their congratulatory messages to the celebrity-mom.

“Good job and congratulations, Yasmien!” Carla wrote.

“Congratulations, Yasss!” Karel Marquez commented.

“Akap!!! [Yasmien Kurdi and Rey Soldevilla] Congratulations sainyo,” Chynna also commented with heart emoji.

Yasmien tied the knot with her non-showbiz husband, Rey Soldevilla in 2012; They also welcomed their firstborn, Ayesha in that same year. The family announced in November 2023 that they were expecting their second child.
