Jung Hoyeon just keeps winning in life.

Squid Game breakout star Jung Hoyeon has become the first Korean actress to be included on TIME Magazine’s “TIME100 NEXT” list.

The annual “TIME100 NEXT” list recognizes 100 individuals who “shape our world and define our future” with their “extraordinary efforts.” The people included range from celebrities, musicians, industry leaders, and future game-changers, among others.

Hoyeon, who’s part of the “Phenoms” section, also received a special dedication from Squid Game creator Hwang Donghyuk where she was praised for being a “captivating” star.

According to Donghyuk, Hoyeon didn’t want to “hide the fact that she didn’t have any acting experience” since she accepts her “weaknesses, and was committed to overcoming them.”

“I think Hoyeon is still fighting every day—against her fame, the expectations, and the jealousy of her success, as well as her own desires,” Donghyuk wrote.

The Squid Game creator also hopes that Hoyeon’s acting career “can become a true resting area, and not her battleground.”

Hoyeon has received numerous accolades for her role as North Korean defector Kang Saebyeok, namely Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, Korea First Brands Award for Rookie Actress, and Blue Dragon Award for Best Actress, among others.
