Pauline Amelinckx remains as one of the frontrunners of this year's Miss Supranational competition, securing a spot in two pre-pageant challenges.

Showcasing her wit and beauty, the Philippine bet on July 8 was announced as one of the Top 5 finalists in the SupraChat challenge, alongside candidates from Canada, India, Peru, and South Africa. The finalists were evaluated based on the scores they got during the question-and-answer portion (70%) and audience votes (30%).

During the preliminaries, Pauline was asked whether she believes that the candidates should be coached in pageants.

“I really think that all the candidates, somehow, can draw so much energy and knowledge from different mentors, so that they themselves can find the best in themselves, and then be able to bring that out on stage,” the 27-year-old beauty queen answered.

“I definitely think that getting all the help from so many different people and tapping into their own talents and knowledge is such an asset in the pageant industry,” she added.

The candidates were later asked about the law they would want to create for all countries, in which Pauline highlighted the need for better healthcare access for everyone.

“Especially now with the pandemic almost reaching its close, I think all of us now realize how important equal healthcare is to everyone for us to be able to live our best lives, and to also make sure that healthcare reaches everyone,” she said.

“So that we can always live our best lives and give our best to others, too,” she added.

The Boholana beauty was also named the winner of the YouTube challenge for Miss Influencer on June 24, securing a spot in the Top 7. Other candidates who emerged at the top were Vietnam, Paraguay, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, and Indonesia. Votes, views, and likes were the basis for choosing the winner.

She is also among the Top 10 candidates in the initial results of the Supra Fan vote. The voting period will run until July 14.

Amelinckx was crowned Miss Supranational last May 13. She is vying for the country’s second Miss Supranational title following Mutya Johanna Datul, who won in 2013. The coronation night will be held on July 14 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sacz, Poland
