Son Ye-jin is the epitome of the perfect blushing bride when she finally said “I do” to her reel-to-real partner Hyun Bin.

Prior to her wedding day, the 40-year-old actress looked breathtaking in luxury bridal gowns from various designers. They might have not been the final gowns but they’re just as magical.

Of course, Ye-jin is not the only celebrity who stunned fans in bridal wear. Here are other Korean personalities who looked radiant in wedding gowns.

Park Shin-hye

Like Ye-jin, Park Shin-hye’s entertainment agency Salt Entertainment released official wedding photos of her with husband Choi Tae-joon before the actual ceremony. The actress wore three bridal gowns in her pre-wedding shoot and she looked like a princess.

Shin-hye’s dress in the first photo was an elegant long-sleeve lace floral gown from Filipino-American designer Monique Lhuillier’s Spring 2021 bridal collection. Meanwhile, the daring white silk faille ballgown in the second photo was designed by Oscar de la Renta for his Spring 2022 bridal collection.

The actress also channeled her inner goddess with a stunning Wildflower tulle gown by Lhuillier for her Spring 2022 bridal collection.

Song Hye-kyo

You can’t talk about the wedding gowns of Korean celebrities without mentioning Song Hye-kyo. While her marriage with Song Joong-ki ended in a heartbreaking divorce, her magnificent gown during their wedding was to die for.

Hye-kyo wore a customized long-sleeve velvet ballgown from Christian Dior’s Winter 2017 collection. The gown was originally made of black velvet material, but the actress reportedly requested for it to be changed into white.

My Sassy Girl and My Love from the Star actress Jeon Ji-hyun was a radiant bride when she tied the knot with Korean businessman Choi Joon-hyuk in 2012. While the “Jeon Ji-hyun wedding gown” designed by Jenny Packham made waves in Korean media, her simple white frock on the actual ceremony matched her statuesque beauty.

Ji-hyun’s simple yet elegant gown was created by Lebanese designer Reem Acra, and she finished off her look with a three-carat diamond tiara.

Min Hyo-rin

Min Hyo-rin was an ethereal bride during her wedding to BIGBANG’s Taeyang in 2018, which can be credited to the dramatic ballgown designed by Oscar de la Renta.

The eye-catching ballgown features delicate silk poppies stitched on the gown’s bodice, which according to Hyo-rin, is a callback to the flower decorations in her wedding. The gown, which reportedly took 240 hours to create, is made of 10 yards of white Italian silk faille and a strapless top.

Kim Tae-hee

Kim Tae-hee took a unique and no-nonsense approach with her sartorial choice since she chose to wear a custom-made piece by her personal stylist. The knee-length, lace dress was finished off with a simple white veil.

In a report from Yonhap News, Tae-hee’s stylist “bought the fabrics and tailored the dress herself” and was based on the actress’ ideas herself.

In case you’re wondering why the My Princess and Hi Bye, Mama actress knows her fashion, Tae-hee graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in fashion design.
