They got it from their mama: Melai Cantiveros' daughters tickle the internet's funny bone just like their mom
Like mother, like daughters.
Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up Big Winner Melai Cantiveros has long been known for her sense of humor and kalog personality, entertaining fans for more than 10 years in the industry. Now, it seems like she's passed on the funny gene to her two daughters.
Last month, the actress and TV host uploaded a back-to-school vlog on how she prepares her daughters, Amelia (Mela) and Stela, for their face-to-face classes. Since then, a certain portion of it has been making the rounds online for showcasing how her daughters are truly mini-Melais.
At the tail end of the vlog, Melai cooks her daughters their favorite chicken nuggets for breakfast—and their reaction is nothing short of classic Melai.
"Mama, thank you very much! You know that I love chicken nuggets!" eldest daughter, Mela, exclaims.
Her little sister Stela then chirps in: "Me too mama!"
"Paka-OA naman. Para ka naman maliit na ibon," Melai says to Stela, before 8-year-old Mela brings on the charm yet again.
"Mama kasi I'm so hungry na, mama."
"Oh wag ka na magsalita, kung hungry ka na kumain ka na," Melai finally says to put an end to her daughters' hilarious (yet familiar) antics.
The short clip has since gone viral on social media, with many using the audio to do their own renditions, or simply sharing the clip for laughs.

While being hilarious, some also praised Mela and Stela for showing appreciation for their hardworking mother.
Some have also shared that the video made them crave chicken nuggets of their own.
Taking the earworm one step higher, Filipino artist Yokify D even made his own animation of the 30-second clip.
"At dahil atat na atat na kayong ipost ko tong meme nato heto na! the most requested animation meme!" Yokify D wrote of his creation. "You know that I love Chicken nuggeeets!!"
Melai and fellow Pinoy Big Brother alum Jason Francisco welcomed their eldest daughter in 2014. Four-year-old Stela followed shortly after in 2017.
