Kim Soo-Hyun is in Manila to sign your books!

Following her book signing event in Fully Booked, BGC Taguig last Sept. 15, Soo-Hyun will have two more on Saturday, Sept. 16, according to local publishing imprint Apop.

Soo-Hyun will first visit the National Bookstore in SM Mall of Asia at 11 a.m., then head to the Manila International Book Fair at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City at 5 p.m.

In her best-selling self-help books, I Decided To Live As Me and Being Comfortable Without Effort, the author proudly shared her life experiences to encourage readers to "live as you" and that "there are endless ways" to love yourself. These best-sellers promote “being okay” with living life the way you want to, instead of trying to shape yourself into a particular mold of “better”.

Soo-Hyun shared that on social media, people want to show how “shiny” they are, yet they "tend to forget that they also have their weaknesses."

The celebrated author admitted that she feels "ashamed to show my vulnerability. But at [the] same time, I very much feel relieved to show how weak and vulnerable I am.”

“My book has helped many others. This is feeding my soul,” she added.

The South Korean author said that she was inspired to write personal stories because she wants her readers to relate to her, and “find comfort” in celebrating their selves.

“When I first wrote this, I was in my 20s going to my 30s. My writing at that stage was when I was making decisions and resolutions in my life. Writing this book made me focus [on] myself more and to be [a] more formed person. It has been seven years since I wrote this book but it still fills me and makes me think positive about my life,” Soo-Hyun shared.

She feels “incredibly thankful” that her books have sold more than a million copies globally and that even celebrities like Jeon Jungkook of BTS have been spotted reading her masterpiece.

Soo-Hyun's books are priced at P600 each and are available on Apop's website.
