James Reid spent his Easter Sunday in Palawan with someone special.
The actor was photographed enjoying a sun-soaked day in the breathtaking province with his rumored girlfriend Issa Pressman on Sunday, April 9.
In the now-viral snaps, the musician can be seen in black shorts and a green bandana around his head as Issa donned a light-colored bikini with a printed sarong wrapped around her waist.
In a now-deleted post by Elsa's Beach Resort, it appears that the pair had gone to Port Barton, San Vicente in Palawan for their trip.
While both of them have yet to post anything about their Easter Sunday vacation on their own social media pages, netizens were quick to post candid pictures of them on Facebook as well as selfies with the rumored couple.
Dating speculations between the two emerged in January 2020, the same month that James and his ex-girlfriend, actress Nadine Lustre confirmed their breakup after a four-year relationship.
Three years later, on March 17, the pair seemingly soft-launched their relationship on Instagram with sweet photos of them taken during Harry Styles’ Love On Tour concert in Manila.
Their rumored relationship has been met with backlash from netizens, with some accusing Issa of being the reason for James and Nadine's split. This prompted the Careless co-founder to issue a statement emphasizing that the cheating rumors are "just that, rumors."
“I usually never address bashers or get involved in hate culture but I feel the need to speak up now because this is the start of something beautiful,” he said, “and I’m not gonna let anyone take that from me.”
“To my fans, all you need to know from me is that I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” he added.
Issa's sister Yassi also spoke up regarding the issue, stressing that her friendship with Nadine has not been tainted by the pair's romance rumors.
“Kami po ni Nadine, okay po kami. Okay rin po ‘yung buong pamilya namin, at syempre po, bago po nag-public ang lahat, lahat po naasikaso in private. So lahat po, walang problema,” she explained during a March press conference for her upcoming show Kurdapya.
Nadine is currently in a relationship with French businessman Christophe Bariou. She went Instagram official with him in November of the same year.
