Meet the queen: Paolo Ballesteros is hosting 'Drag Race Philippines'
Drag Race Philippines is sashaying to screens soon and the show has introduced the fabulous Paolo Ballesteros as its host.
On July 12, the show shared a photo of Ballesteros in full drag on social media.
"MABU-HEYYY! Meet your host of Drag Race Philippines, Paolo Ballesteros!" the post read.
Previously, former RuPaul's Drag Race contestant and all star Jiggly Caliente was announced as part of the Philippine spin-off's judging panel. It was long speculated that Ballesteros would be joining the team as the main host.
Celebs, from Vice Ganda and BJ Pascual to Maja Salvador, shared their excitement for the upcoming series.
"Zooooooooo eggggzzzzyyyytttttiiiiddddddd!!!!!!!!" Vice commented on Instagram.
"HUWAWWWWWWW❤️❤️❤️ congratulations kuya! Sabi ko na Ikaw eh!!! Charot," said KaladKaren.
"Cannot wait!!!!!" commented Pascual.
"Friend ko yaaaan!!!!" Salvador proudly declared.
Manila Luzon, the host of another upcoming drag reality competition in the Philippines (Drag Den), wrote "❤️❤️❤️" in the comments section.
Drag Race Philippines premieres on August 17 on WowPresents Plus. This local spin-off will be the first in the international franchise to also have its own Untucked segment, which will show behind-the-scenes drama that were missed from the episode.
