The 70th Miss World competition, which was slated to take place last Dec. 16, 2021, is finally happening today, Mar. 17.
40 beauty queens are set to face off at the coronation night, including Philippines' Tracy Maureen Perez.
The longest-reigning Miss World Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica will crown her successor at the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Cebuana beauty made it to the Top 12, but didn’t get to enter the top 6 of the tilt.

United States is ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ ambassador
United States reigned supreme at the Beauty with a Purpose challenge, which is an initiative of the Miss World Organization that supports candidates with their respective advocacies and beneficiaries.
The finalists for the segment included the following:
- Philippines
- India
- England
- Kenya
- South Africa
Philippines makes it to the Top 12
Tracy Maureen Perez of the Philippines advances to the Top 12 at the 70th Miss World.
Vietnam's Đỗ Thị Hà was also named the winner of the Digital Media Challenge, where contestants were asked to promote their journey at the Miss World pageant through their individual websites at missworld.com.

Mongolia's Burte-Ujin Anu performs a contortion act
Burte-Ujin Anu of Mongolia was declared as the winner of Miss Talent fast track event at the Miss World 2021 last December.
She displayed some amazing contortion skills at the coronation night.

40 contestants open the show with their stunning National Costumes
The 70th Miss World coronation night has begun!
The 40 finalists paraded the runway wearing their beautiful costumes that represent their country's rich heritage and culture.
Philippines' Tracy Maureen Perez arrived dressed as Mayari, the Moon Goddess and daughter of Bathala. Her intricate gown was designed by Axel Que.
