“Anytime.” Alden Richards is ready to make a sequel of Hello, Love, Goodbye, his blockbuster hit with Kathryn Bernardo.

In an interview with entertainment outlet Bandera, the Kapuso actor talked about the possibility of the 2019 movie to get another movie and that he’s even willing to cancel projects for it.

“Ako po…of course Hello, Love, Goodbye naman po made history and yun naman rin po ang gusto ng mga nakapanood, na magkaroon ng part 2,” he said.

“Sabi ko, ‘Direk Cathy (Garcia-Sampana) kapag gumawa kayo ng part 2 ikaka-cancel ko muna lahat ng schedule ko.”

The actor added that the decision for the sequel will ultimately be up to Star Cinema.

“But then again, that’s really up to Star Cinema kasi sila naman ‘yong producer and they own the rights [to] the movie,” he explained.

In the film, Alden plays bartender Ethan Del Rosario who is about to get his residency in Hong Kong when he meets Joy Fabregas (Bernardo), a nursing graduate working as a domestic helper. The two fall in love but their life plans are different—Ethan wants to build a life in Hong Kong while Joy is moving to Canada.

Hello, Love, Goodbye, directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, is one of the highest-grossing Filipino romantic drama films of all time, earning P881 million globally.

Back in 2020, Alden echoed his desire to do a movie sequel leaving fans thrilled as he believes that there is still more to the story of Ethan and Joy.

Asked about the possibility of working with his AlDub love team partner Maine Mendoza, Alden said that they don’t keep in touch as often nowadays.

“Parang si Maine po kasi ngayon, based on how I... hindi na rin kasi kami ngayon nagkakausap nang madalas and hindi na rin ako nakakapanood ng TV. But right now as I can see, medyo mas okay na ngayon si Maine mag-settle sa family life niya and we respect that, ako nirerespeto ko ‘yun,” Alden said, adding that he wishes her well.
