Even without group activities, BTS continues to break world records that they previously set.

"BTS can officially be crowned the most popular group in the world after smashing the record for the most streamed male group on Spotify for a second time," the Guinness World Records shared on Friday, March 10.

The international record cataloging and verification authority announced that the K-pop boy group's music has been streamed 31.96 billion times as of March 3, nearly double their April 2021 record of 16.3 billion streams.

This means BTS also surpasses BLACKPINK, the most-streamed female group on Spotify at 8.88 billion streams, to become the most-streamed group act overall.

Their most-streamed song is Dynamite (1.6 billion streams), followed by Butter (1.08 billion). These songs received consecutive Grammy nominations for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in 2021 and 2022.

After BTS, the most-streamed male bands on Spotify include Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5, and Queen.

Other notable BTS world records, according to Guinness, include the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours, the most-streamed track on Spotify in the first 24 hours, and the first K-pop act to reach No.1 on the US albums chart.

BTS is currently taking a hiatus from group activities, during which they will focus on solo projects and fulfill their military enlistment requirements.
