This year has certainly been eventful in the K-pop scene, with back-to-back releases of artists from various generations. Last month, there was OG girl group Girls Generation and NewJeans, fighting for the charts.

But hold on to your seats, K-pop fans, as our idols are not yet done giving you chills this year yet. A lot more K-pop artists are set to release their music this spooky season and fill your bucket with treats.

Here’s a quick rundown of K-pop artist releases you should look forward to in the month of October.

TREASURE

The hitmakers behind Darari are back to say "Hello" with their new mini album, The Second Step: Chapter 2. Prior to the release of their single on Oct. 4, the group showed a snippet of themselves inside the practice room to show Teumes (fans of TREASURE) how they are working hard to prepare for a new era.

After the release of Hello, TREASURE is set to go on a tour in Japan beginning this November. Members Bang Yedam and Mashiho, on the other hand, wilcontinue with their hiatus until the end of the year.

Seulgi

Red Velvet’s Seulgi has finally released her solo debut mini album, 28 Resons! The group is famous for having the most complex and mysterious concepts there is, and Seulgi’s MV, which looks like it came straight from a grunge movie, is living proof of just how far they can go with it.

Prior to the release of the new track, Reveluvs (fans of Red Velvet) were thrilled as Red Velvet’s social media accounts changed their profile picture to Seulgi’s logo and uploaded a spine-chilling teaser where a set of events unfolds with a creepy whistle and deafening silence in the background.

Seulgi is the third member of the group to have a solo debut, following Wendy and Joy.

Stray Kids

Fresh from their world tour, JYP Entertainment’s 4th generation boy group is coming back with Maxident. In their teaser, the self-produced group goes with the cool boy look, walking the streets of New York accompanied by classical music that was immediately changed to an upbeat tune. The sudden change of energy in the teaser is not new at all, as the group is known to have pioneered the "mala taste" genre.

Following the video's teaser, the group also released the members' individual Youtube shorts and announced the album's title. During their concert last  Sept. 17 and 18, SKZ performed some of their tracks from their new album prior to  their actual release on Oct. 7.

Lee Chaeyeon

Some spooky extravaganza is about to happen this Halloween season as former IZ*ONE member Lee Chaeyeon is making her solo debut with a mini album, HUSH RUSH, to be released on October 12.

Chaeyeon debuted in 2018 as a member of IZ*ONE, a group created by Mnet from the survival show Produce 48. She also participated in Street Woman Fighter as a part of the dance crew WANT. WIZ*ONEs (fans of IZ*ONE) have been waiting for her to debut, as former members of the group have also returned to the K-pop scene.

Kep1er

It looks like Kep1er is preparing to sneak in as the world sleeps—complete with with their chic black outfits—with their upcoming album, TROUBLESHOOTER and its title track, "We Fresh."

This will be their second comeback following the first one last June. Kep1er debuted on Jan. 3, 2022 after they were formed through Mnet’s survival show, Girls Planet 999.

(G)I-DLE

Following the 10-minute video of a beating heart the group first released, (G)I-DLE are more than ready to show off the daring and fierce version of themselves with their upcoming album, I Love. The group also unveiled their title track "Nxde" with an almost bare poster contrasting the bright red color of the text.

Aside from having their world tour, (G)I-DLE is booked and busy as they’re set to take off new heights with their upcoming 5th mini album on Oct. 17.

LE SSERAFIM

Rookie group LE SSERAFIM is all set to make their first comeback! The group released a teaser where they fearlessly walked on a makeshift runway and asked the fans, "Do you think I'm fragile?" Source Music confirmed that the group is set to return on Oct. 17 with a mini album titled "ANTIFRAGILE."

This will mark their first comeback after their debut on May 2, 2022 and their first album as a five-member group after the departure of Kim Garam.
