Long-time beauty queen Katrina Dimaranan is ending her pageantry journey after 10 years.

The Taguig-based Morena shared an Instagram reel chronicling her progress, along with the announcement that she will not be returning to the Philippines to pass on her Miss Universe Philippines Tourism crown.

"I do want to take this opportunity to look back at my pageant journey," Katrina began, "from 18yrs old to now 28, my 10 year magical journey that was and is a vital part of my life."

She sent love to the friends she made along the way, along with the lessons she's imparted:  "This journey helped me accept that my past, my hardships actually inspired someone to aim for greatness and follow their dream."

"My 10 year journey has now come to an end, and I am eternally grateful for all of the memories I’ve shared with all of you, especially those who were with me since day one of this incredible journey. I am happy and at peace that I can finally close this chapter, and move forward to my next goals!"

Katrina entered the pageant scene when she won the Binibining Pilipinas Tourism crown in 2012.

After a short hiatus, Kat continued to turn heads in 2021, eventually earning the Miss Universe Philippines Tourism crown.

The beauty queen admitted that she initially felt hurt when she failed to win the coveted Miss Universe Philippines crown, saying it "is part of the process."

"Just like many of you, I am also hurt, but the hurt I feel right now is part of the process and my joy of knowing I left my heart out on that stage and gave my absolute best, defeats that pain.," she wrote back in October of 2021. "In time I’ll be fully healed, back and stronger."

Katrina has long been known to make spirited friendships with fellow beauty queens, such as Kisses Delavin, Ayn Bernos, Maureen Wroblewitz and more. They also sent messages of support to the former queen.

"We love you!!!!!!" Ayn shared with heart emojis, while Maureen sent a similar "Love youuu!!! with heart emojis.

Katrina is now enrolled in a nursing school in the U.S. She joins fellow Miss Universe Philippines 2021 contestant and 2nd runner-up Steffi Rose Aberasturi in exiting the pageant scene. The two are well-known pageant veterans.
