Dimples Romana pens heartfelt birthday message to Angel Locsin: 'Isa sa pinakamapagmahal na tao ngayon'
As actress Angel Locsin celebrated her 38th birthday on April 23, her good friend Dimples Romana made sure to show her appreciation in a heartfelt birthday message.
On her Instagram account, Dimples delighted fans by sharing a throwback picture of her and Angel volunteering for a non-profit organization that helps children who have been, abandoned, orphaned, or abused.
Praising Angel's good qualities, Dimples wrote, "I'm not posting this para makita mo, I'm posting this para makita nila, at maipaalala sa kanila na kaarawan ng isa sa pinakamapagbigay, mabubuti at mapagmahal na tao ngayon."
"I know many of us love you, and so many of them you have helped, loved, saved, and given to over the many years, so if you are one of those please do greet my dearest Angel a happy birthday today and say a prayer of love and celebration as she turns over another fruitful and sweet year of life!" she added.
Dimples ended her post with wishes that Angel receive more blessings in the years to come.
"Sa best friend kong walang kaarte-arte sa katawan, para sa lahat ng sakripisyo mo at tulong mo sa nakararami kasama na ang mga tao at pamilya kailanman ay 'di mo pa nakikilala, sa puso mong walang pinipiling tulungan at mahalin, punuin sana ni Lord ng saya lagi yan. Mahal kita lagi lagi. Dito lang kami," she wrote.
Ever since they starred together in the 2008 supernatural fantasy TV series Lobo, the two celebrities fostered a strong friendship that has withstood the test of time.
Best known for playing the superhero Darna in the 2005 TV series, Angel has received much love and support from Filipinos because of her advocacies and humanitarian efforts in areas like disaster relief, education, and women's rights. Her efforts have led her to be named one of Asia's Heroes of Philanthropy by Forbes in 2019.
